I bought a Vileda mop for laminate floors, it was about £30. It has microfibre cloth on it and its easy to get under chairs and sweep. I just push all dust into a corner and suck up with hoover, it only takes about 5 mins to do a biggish room with tv stand, settee and 2 chairs
Morrisons sell them but we got it from Dulem Mills0 -
my conservatory has laminate flooring, so it gets dirty from the garden... i give it a sweep with the broom , then i mop it over with one of them dettol mop things with the trigger that squirts out dettol on the floor as you mop.. but cos dettol is so exspensive i buy Asda own brand of floor cleaner that you can just squirt and mop without rinsing.. i fill up the dettol bottle with that... works great and smells nice.slimmimg world weight loss 6lbs

So glad it's not just me that has this problem!!!
I frequently screwed my face up at the balls of dust and fur (2 hairy mogs) that seemed to roll about like a western movie, 5 mins after i had disturbed them all by sweeping!!!!! :rotfl:
I have found that a good hoover each week, especially in the nooks and crannies, and then a sweep or 3 during the week does the trick!!!!What's he building in there???

How much did we over spend whilst on maternity leave :mad:0 -
We used to sweep and mop our floors nearly every day 12 months ago as it was soo dusty. I agree that sweeping can make the dust worse as it just puts it in the air and re-settles later and doesnt look like its been done.
My cleaner uses a vac to hoover around the room then uses a steamer on the flooring. It doesnt get half as dusty and maybe we have to sweep it through 1-2 times a week instead of daily.

It's Ok cleaning under a bed if you can get under it! Our king-size is far to heavy to lift and there isn't any room to push it to one side (maybe a few inches). ANY IDEAS?
I have a solution in mind it's a simple gadget which I may suggest to a Vacuum Cleaner Manufacturer. (I have had 3 gadgets ripped from me in the passed and all were put into mass production!)0 -
i have a microfirbe flat mop thingy. cost a fiver form in-store. aanyway it great. i find tho with 3 cats ( 1 very hairy) and 2 kids and hubby, ( me well i dont' make mess , haha) i sometimes have to do the floor 2 or 3 times. not because i'm ott on cleaning but i can see it so much more on laminate. which tbh i prefer. as with carpet u can't. i do like to hoover. but bought a brand new one in march and it so powerful it just flicks the dust and dirt it amazing on carpets but not hard floor's.0
