Maybe not. Who is the registered keeper? If it is your boss or his wife, under the changes in the law in October they can pursue the registered keeper.

If it is the bosses wife who passed your details on, I reckon she'd pay if you didn't and they pursued her. Where would that leave you in the eyes of your boss if his wife pays out for your parking ticket?

No they cannot, please do some research before posting wrong information! The wife has given the details of the driver, once they have a serviceable address of someone they CANNOT go back to the RK of the vehicle!

I am hoping that what Splott was trying to say was that IF the wife hadn't named the driver, then she, as RK would have been liable (under POFA), and, being somewhat ignorant of these things, may well have paid.

I too have received a Debt Recovery Plus letter. The want £140! :(:( I know it's all written above, but I suppose I need peace of mind. The letter they have sent does not appear on the list to 'tick' off. I'm trying to 'ignore, ignore, ignore', but it all gives me itchy feet! Arghhhhh x

Nothing has changed these charges are still an illegal penalty, ignore DR+ as they have no powers at all to enforce these pathetic fake tickets.

I was feeling very depressed the other day what with the weather, and the threat of more bad news about the economy.
So I fished out my Debt Recovery Plus, and Zenith Debt Recovery letters, had a good belly laugh at them, and carried on the day with a big grin on my face;)
Don't worry you will get more but they are just trying to dupe you into paying them for sitting in their warm office with their feet up for doing nothing!

    Are you sure?

Did you look at ALL the pictures of Debt Recovery Plus letters, as listed under OTHER PPCs? Sorry to shout but all the letters are there, just hoping you didn't make the typical newbie mistake of only looking at your PPC.

Have another look and if you are certain your letter is different please do send a copy of it (with personal details, date, location and refs/numbers/barcodes covered) to Crabman who runs the PPC letter chains thread.

I did make the mistake and didn't see it at first on Crabman's thread

So I dug out the previous 'demands' and saw that Morrison uses Parking Eye who uses Debt Recovery Plus Ltd and found them on his list

Thanks for the prompting Coupon-Mad! :)

What's annoyed me about this 'demand' is that my daughter went to meet a friend in a Morrison's car park (after closing hours) who arrived in their own car. They chatted for about an hour and both left at the same time. My daughter got a Parking Charge Notice and her friend didn't! Why the picking and choosing Parking Eye? Oh please!

The letters are nothing to worry about but just keep them all in case Parking Eye decide to try a speculative small claim (as they have done recently against some ignorers of old 'tickets'). For that reason, open every letter and if it's from DRP and Zenith it's just junk mail but a small claim would look different and would come from Northampton central/clearing court.

It's all kicking off on the Aldi facebook page about Parking Eye right now (see thread about it on this very forum). So if PE start issuing claims to Morrisons customers (I think they have done at least one, not sure) I would expect Morrisons to get the same complaints, big time.

And there's nothing to stop you NOW complaining to Morrisons Store Manager of course, march in with your file of junk mail and get them to cancel it (not the CS desk teenager, the Store Manager).
