I brought a football kit for my son for Christmas in a size 5-6 however when I out it on him the week after Christmas I realized that despite the tags stating age 5-6 it was too small- this is because actually it is a size 4.
I have emailed Sports Direct for help and also been instore for advice but am being totally ignored by them.
Does anyone have any advice they can offer?
Thanks

Did you buy online or instore?
Do you still have the receipt?0 -
Use this website...
entering Sports Direct will reveal many telephone numbers.0 -
Did he not try it on on Christmas day?
Seems a bit strange.
You actually don't have a leg to stand on, if they do exchange it it will only be a good will gesture. It was you who bought the wrong size.
Just sell it on on Ebaymake the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
When you went instore I would be surprised if they just ignored you. They must have said something? This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

OP says it is 'size 4', is this age 4 or size 4? Surely it should be 3-4 if it is age?
If any of that makes any sense to anyone????0 -
OP says the tags had Size 5/6 but the goods themselves are Size 4. Items mis-described as far as I can see = breach of SOGA.
I understand what you are saying but the tags say 5/6 but does the garment say size 4 or is it just the OPs opinion, they actually havent said.
I never go by tags on childrens clothes, the eye does it a lot better.
All you have to do is think of a classroom of 30 x 5 year old kids, there is an enormous difference between the smallest and tallest.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.

Does it say it is a size 4 anywhere, or is it just your opinion because its too small (ie smaller that a 5/6) and your child.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.

The tags say age 5-6 but the actual garment says age 4, he has many football kits therefore didn't need to try it on Christmas Day as I didn't inspect it that closely.
I am having no response at all from the website and in store they were most unhelpful telling me that I must continue to try and contact via website as its a different company???!
I have tried eBay but unsuccessfully and don't really want to just throw away the £30 that I spent on this gift.
Thanks for advice will try calling the numbers provided.0
