Hello, dogmaryxx
What is this program? Is it something like an antivirus?0 -
AdwCleaner is a program that searches for and deletes Adware, Toolbars, Potentially Unwanted Programs (PUP), and browser Hijackers from your computer.
Nothing to add.0 -

Hello, I decided to download malwarebytes as waddler_8 suggested.
I did a little searching and reading and this appears to be the best solution.
I read some rather disturbing facts about what this virus does. And how it keeps track on my browsing habits, searches, etc. and then provide this information to hackers. I read it here americanpendulum.com/en/2012/02/07/gamevance-how-to-remove/ Lets hope no damage was done.
Also i will consider downloading AdwCleaner.
Thank you for the help.:j0 -
Don't believe everything you read. Some of these sites far exaggerate the supposed threat as they usually are affiliates trying to sell software or a remote service etc.
I see that one's pushing SpyHunter.
Stick with the more recognised AV companies findings.

If you continue to have problems after running mbam & AdwCleaner, post a DDS log.
Download DDS from the link below and save it to your desktop:
Link
After you've downloaded it and saved it to your desktop:- Double click DDS to run it.
- When it's finished, DDS will open two logs:
- DDS.txt
- Attach.txt
Save both reports to your desktop.
Copy & paste the contents of just DDS.txt for now and post it here (you may need to split the log over separate posts)0 -
Thanks again waddler_8,
I also found some of the links you showed me, but i was searching for something written in an more easy-to-understand way (i am not that good with computers, as you might have noticed :-D )
Anyway i think malwarebytes was the solution. Thank you!!0
