I declared my car off road in December and so cancelled my insurance with my provider. I will be putting my car back on the road in June as we are having twins and i want to be able to get about again. Should i contact my old insurance provider and ask for them to send me proof of my no claims so i can look for insurance again in June or wont i need proof of them, is it kept on a system?

You'll need proof and should have got it when your policy ended.0

Phone your ex insurer up and ask them to send it out.
I had to do this last week with Direct Line after I cancelled my policy after !!!!! service.0 -
