Damaged passport? Picture heavy

My passport had seen quite a bit of use before I just had it replaced recently.
I was on a snowboarding package holiday with Balkan Holidays and they made me sign a form saying that if I wasn't allowed into Bulgaria (due to the state of my passport) that I would have to pay for my own flight back to the UK.
This never happened and after the unnecessary stress on my flight over I was allowed into the country and I had a great holiday...
My passport was starting to fray around the edges but the picture page was in good condition. No one else ever pulled me up on it though.£2013 challenge for 2013 £2013/2013 :j0
