How do I earth something?

I bought an air con unit at the end of last year, one that goes through the wall.
It plugs into a normal socket inside.
My ex oh fitted it, I've just read the instructions and it says it should be "earthed"
Do I need an electrician or is this something I could do myself?

It should be earthed via the 13 amp plug.
Assuming your ex can wire a plug I suspect he's covered that.
If you are still unsure, turn off the socket, remove the plug from the socket, take the lid off and check that the green and yellow wire is connected securely into the top pin of the plug.
Then refit the cover and plug it in again.Behind every great man is a good womanBeside this ordinary man is a great woman£2 savings jar - now at £3.42:rotfl:0 -
I've just looked and there is a green and yellow wire connected in the plug, I hadn't thought of that.
Thank you very much for your help.0
