The Road is Long.......

Long time, no post. Guess I fell off the wagon. Well, not completely, still chasing the savings, just not been active on the MSE forum.
Updated my signature earlier in the week, so I'll try and get a little more active again now, I promise.
Things generally going well on the MS activities front, although a couple of bumps in the road:
1. Two kids in full time nursery care at the bargain price of £1,400 per month. DD starts school in a couple of weeks though, so there is a little light at the end of the tunnel (just hope it's not the 13.37 to London Kings Cross).
2. Built in touchscreen unit in car failed (sat nav, radio, cd, climate control, phone, everything). Took it to Ford dealer who said I needed a new unit, the cost of which would be £3,000!!! Plus VAT!!!! Managed to buy a reconditioned unit via ebay for £700.
Seem to be making good progress overall though, and hopeful that by about this time next year we may be in a position to do the extension we want and create our forever home.
