I have a lot of coins at home, and want to exchange/deposit for notes.
Coinstar in ASDA charges 8.9% !! Metro bank, have their coin counting for free, and but I dont intend to travel for the sake of this machine.
The HSBC counting machine in Jubilee place does not work , and has been so for a few months !!
Is there any other bank in Canary Wharf , that can help me with this ?

You could sort them into the correct amounts and deposit them. i.e. £20 of £1's, £2's. £10 of 50p's, 20ps, etc, etc. Anything left over can still be paid into most bank branches.
I would have suggested making a trip to Metrobank if it's just one trip and if you have an account.
Otherwise, pester HSBC to get their machine fixed or accept the 8.9% coinstar charge.0 -
The larger branches of Barclays & Natwest have coin counting machines.
However you would need to be a customer to use them.Im an ex employee RBS GroupHowever Any Opinion Given On MSE Is Strictly My Own0 -
I have been taking my coins along to Sainsburys and buying my shopping at the self service tills.
I have managed to pay upto £12 in coins for my shopping.(mostly 1p,2p, 5p coins)
I know it's not quite what you want but it might help someone.

I do the same at ASDA. There are two kinds of tills. The larger one requires coins to be fed into a slot one at a time. The smaller till has a small tray into which one just drops the coins. With the latter it's simple to get rid of a few pounds worth of assorted loose change without delaying others greatly.
I certainly wouldn't consider using Coinstar.0
