skin care regime....I need a change

Hi all

Having used Clinique for years I am looking for something else to you as it just doesn't seem to be working for me right now. Of course a cheaper brand would be more MSE but I am not averse to spending a similar amount to Clinique.

Any advice on good brands. I have been thinking about moving to Body Shop - vitamin E stuff or Simple???? I just don't know!

    Hi
I used to use, estee lauder, omg the price, but it was lush, but times changed, and we decided to save more.

I went over the body shop vitamin e range, and i do like it, but i once bought the illuminating moisturiser, opps made me look quite reddy...lol

I also use this on a evening.

and the handcream in the same range is great.

  • Bobbi Brown - I love it!

Have tried lads over the years but the is by far the best for me.

Use the cleansing oil, face wash, toner, day and night creams and a serum.

Moisturisers are £36 each to give you an idea.

The website is good too as you can live chat if you can't get to a store.

Have you tried Liz Earle? Clinique was killing my skin, think it was the alcohol in the toner at the time, and this really soothed it.

Clinique dried my skin too. Then when the consultant used it to remove brio from the desk...I saw why. Was there with OH whilst he got some men stuff - he loves it.

    Eeep!
  • I had considered Deramalogica too and Liz Earle looks good. I tried Estee Lauder before I started on Clinique but I found it too heavy.

Depends on your skin type. If your skin is 'normal' and isn't sensitive then the world is your oyster.

Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish made my skin more greasy and many products for oily skin are like paint stripper.

I use this: http://www.boots.com/en/Boots-Tea-Tree-Witch-Hazel-Cleansing-Toning-Lotion-150ml_1213606/ It's drying but not too drying and comes in a facewash too.

  • I have combination skin - normal in the cheeks but oilier t zone. Not really prone to acne but can get a bit congested with blackheads and some open pores particularly on the nose. Am starting to get a few fine lines (I am 35) and would like a more even skin tone.

    I don't want much do I!?
  • I tried dermalogica and my acne came out with a vengeance! Luckily they gave me a refund...I had to go on antibiotics for the spots.

I am still searching too. Thought about Liz Earle but I also read it was too greasy. I had thought about the oil cleansing method but haven't given it a go yet!
