"Dead" Scottish & Newacstle shares

Firstly, sorry if I have posted this in the wrong place.
I have just come across a share certificate in my name for a number of shares in Scottish & Newcastle, which was taken over by Heineken in 2008. I had completely forgotten about these - they were part of an employee profit sharing scheme and have been in my name since 3 September 2004.
I have 2 questions, really:
1) Are these shares likely to be worth anything and how would I go about finding out, since Scottish & Newcastle no longer exist.
2) I never received any dividends from the shares during their "live" period (although my name and address on the certificate is correct and hasn't changed since then). If the shares have a value, would I be eligible for back-dated dividends (not sure from whom, though!!!)
Hope someone out there is more knowledgable on this subject than me (which isn't difficult!!)
Many thanks

Well, since they are taken over, you should be getting £8 per share.
No idea on it dividends though a quick glance suggested a combined dividend of 63.94p per share.
I found its Registrar, Equiniti. Ask them.
Cheers,

Just wondering, though, Joe - I have just been on Equiniti's website. How did you find out that they are the people to speak to?0
