What's involved with installing TiVo

I'd like to get a TiVo box installed for grandma. She has a v+ box installed in Jan 2008. It's not an HD box. The white box bringing the connection from the street is in the garage as the garage is integral and the lounge is behind the garage. Then the cable was threaded through a hole in the back garage wall to the lounge. Is it just a case of taking the cable out the v+ box and putting them in the back of the tivo? Do virgin have to come to the house. The reason I ask is that if they have to get to the big white box in the garage then they have no chance. It's now full of grandmas stuff that you get with children, grandchildren and stuff inherited etc! And I don't expect I'll get that sorted out for another 12-18 months. It was reasonably clear when virgin was installed lol :)
Does it need an Internet connection also as that's in the hall some distance away not in the lounge as that was threaded though the other garage wall. I've asked the virgin order dept and customer service but they haven't a clue so I was hoping someone on here is a virgin installer/engineer and can tell me or there are others on here with experience. TIA. :)

Really?! Can't believe it. "No drama" is definitely what I like to hear.
Everyone in the family is going to be so pleased to hear that. They can't seem to manage on 80hrs or whatever it is on a v+ box lol as Grandma has to compete with the grandchildren when they visit which is regularly :) Thanks

What's the situation with regards to an Internet cable jb66? Is one needed at all for tivo as there isn't an Internet cable in the back of the v+ box. TIA.

The Tivo has its own modem so connects to the internet via the existing co-ax cable. The v+ also has a modem, thats how you get catchup :)

Thanks as I didn't know that as you can tell! Makes sense now!
