Car dealer won't honour warranty

Thanks, but I think it's unlikely given the price range of the cars on offer. This guy is a bottom price range dealer, selling cars in the region of £1,000-£2,000. It's likely that he buys them at auction, sticks a 12 month ticket on and flogs them on.0

That was my thought.
Splott might be right with aBMW franchise but this guy is a trader at the bottom end. He's buying cheap and punting on with his fingers crossed.
The issue will be if they are all registered to his wife or something! What if there was no such thing as a rhetorical question?0 -
Ive just postes a similar thread...I found trading standards very unhelpful.if you sent it recorded he will either sign for it or reject it either way it will say so ontrack and trace. Try and find what assets the garage have through compnaies house or director check both have websites........just in case when you get to court and he says he has no money you will have evidence of his accounts.......0

Just a quick update on this one. We wrote to the dealer with the usual Sale of Goods Act letter. He ignored the first one, so we followed it up with a second one and reported him to Trading Standards. Surprise surprise he contacted us last week and agreed to carry out the repair.
