10ft Trampolines at ASDA

Not sure what ASDAs they are being delivered to. I'm in Glasgow....Newton Mearns had sold out and Govan still had some left. Might be a matter of phoning around!

It's a whopping big 10ft trampoline with enclosure - we got one this morning and my son loves it! Well worth the £99 and the cheapest deal I've seen on these....and I've been looking on the internet for a while.

I would recommend phoning your local store. Our store in Biggleswade is due 200 in any day now, Stevenage have had them in for about a week, but not sure if they have any left. So get in there quick!

Yep, would recommend being quick. My husband works in the warehouse of ASDA and told me they were coming in. I went up the next day to get one and they had sold out!

The women I spoke to at ASDA in Govan when I got mine said they had been selling fast - it is a really good deal. Its a really good sturdy trampoline as well.

Can confirm that they have stock in Asda in Beckton. East London. Please phone (0207 476 4800) before you set off. This is almost 80 kgs, the store will help deliver to your car, but you need two strong men (okay bite my head off but hopefully you get the idea) to load and unload it. My DW and myself mananged to load this onto the rear seats or our E Class Mercedes! Based on the weight and packaging I will say it compares well to to the one from ALDI, but £30 cheaper ...you cannot go wrong.
Do you make things happen, watch things happen, or just wonder, what happened?

As a qualified trampolining coach I have strong reservations about domestic trampolines and it is my personal and professional recommendation that you consider enrolling your child in an organised trampolining class or club. Advantages of this are that they will then be able to learn new moves safely in a controlled environment and under qualified supervision which will reduce the risk of injury and allow them to progress and learn moves which they couldn't do safely on garden trampoline. Also please be aware that whilst there are British Standards in place for commercial trampolines and for club and competition trampolines there are no relevant safety standards for those sold for domestic use. Furthermore trampolining clubs ensure their trampolines undergo regular professional inspection and maintenance.

If you do buy a garden trampoline then you should supervise your child on it at all times and should not permit them to somersault/"flip" under any circumstance. I would strongly recommend use of a safety enclosure and that the trampoline should be sited on an energy absorbing surface such as long grass regardless of whether an enclosure is present and there should be a clear, unobstructed fall area of ideally not less than 2.5 metres around the perimeter. There should be no overhanging obstructions such as tree branches in the area of the trampoline. Children must be taught never to go under the trampoline while someone else is on it. You should not allow more than one child to use the trampoline at any one time. Children should not bounce while wearing jewelery.

There are a couple of useful sites I suggest anyone who has or is thinking of getting a garden trampoline takes a look at. The Royal society for Prevention of Accidents has a factsheet and The British Gymnastics Association has published a Statement on Garden Trampolines which includes safety guidelines.

I do appreciate what kittiwoz is saying but there are no trampoline classes or clubs near where I live - which is a great shame as I'm sure my kids would love to learn new moves in a controlled environment as I do not let them somersault on our trampoline in the garden.

I just picked one of these up and it's very good quality. Much better than you might imagine. I'll let the kids play and see if they still like is as much come winter time. If they want to take it further, I will get lessons. I have had enough of paying out in advance for them to turn agains something and refuse to keep going. If it lasts Summer long it will have been worth it.

You need to monitor kids whatever they are doing, so this is no different - they can get just as injured climbing up a tree.

My only worry is my lawn!!!

  • Does anyone know if any trampolines are/will be available in the nottinghamshire area? I tried phoning but they said they had none available and didn't seem to know anything about them!
