Bugs!!

Not sure if I'm posting this on the right board!

I've just come back to my house after being away for three weeks and we seem to have a bit of a bug problem!

All the window ledges and beds etc are covered in bugs!! They're black and are a few mm and kind of round. Some are stripey black and yellow.

I've cleaned them away and steam cleaned everything but I'm not sure what they are and where they come from.

Any ideas?

Sound like carpet beetles to me. We've got them all over the house in the past few years, although we never had any previous to that. Maybes it's the weather

Anyhows, if they are carpet beetles, the adults (the ones that look like little beetles) don't cause any harm but the larve will eat through fabric and the like. Don't think there is a specific thing to kill them (at least I've found nothing yet)

they sound like carpet beetles, i have a lot of experience with them as im a housekeeper at a 17th century mansion and they are swarming the place, they eat wool carpets, tapestry, they get into your setees and soft furnishings ect, they are not harmful but u need the bug squad in from the yellow pages or somwhere like that cause if left they cause a lot of damage and if u ever move they will move with u in your furniture.
