about £40 fitted - Look in your local free paper, most plumbers will probably do one for you though.

You can get the outside tap kits from Focus, B & q etc for around a tenner.

They have everything you need in the pack (excluding the drill bit to go through the wall). Any half decent DIYer can use them. They are really that easy.

problem with the kit is it only makes a small hole so the water pressure is terrible. Took my 2 days to fill an 8ft round by 2ft deep swimming pool last summer.

The DIY kit I got is ok, water pressure is good too. Not a problem in my case.

If you can DIY a bit then you can do this one completely by yourself. You will need to buy a masonary drill bit long enough to go from the outside to inside - check what mm bit you need, this would probably cost around another tenner and you would need a 6mm masonary drill bit for making the holes to attach the tap on the outside. Oh, also some raw plugs unless they are included in the tap fitting kit.

I have used the long masonary bit loads of times since for things like fitting outside lights, so it could come in useful again.

Something else to think about is having a point to turn it off inside the wall from the tap you're fitting. So if there's cold weather and the outside tap/pipe bursts, you can isolate it without having to turn off the water to the rest of the house. I'd never have thought of that if the plumber hadn't suggested it. Any way, I'm too cack-handed to even think of having a go myself - nearly flooded the place unblocking a u bend. Never again.
