Hi folks,
Four or five years ago I painted the radiaors with white gloss paint and turned out well, only problem was the smell as the paint baked in.
Is there any kind of paint that I could put on bathroom radiator that wont smell as the paint bakes in as I need to do it again, due to putting wet towels on it etc
Thanks a lot

Not sure what you mean by "paint bakes in". Once the paint is dry it will not smell - just like any radiator.

Well I can say that for a good few weeks afterwards there was a strong smell if the rads were switched on for a while.
Probably I would guess some sort of a chemical reaction due to the heat of the rads on the paint, but over time disappeared.
Can remember when I was a kid same thing happeing when rads were painted in my parents house.

Avoid Leyland gloss - I did my radiators in this with Leyland undercoat - they have all gone yellow within weeks.
No smell though.0 -
That's why they sell radiator paint. It's designed to be heat resistant and not to fade so quickly as gloss when exposed to heat.
You don't need to 'bake in' ordinary gloss paint if you use it. If you just leave the rads cold for a few days while it hardens off they will be fine.
So for obvious reasons, this is not the best time of year to paint them!No free lunch, and no free laptop0
