How to resize Wordart on a Mac

I have switched to a Mac last year, and we purchased the Word package. I am having real trouble resizing the Wordart. Whenever I used it on the PC, all you did was click the corner and drag it to the size needed. Now when I click and drag, the wordart stays the same size , but the box increases in size. I'm sure it must be really simple, I've googled, but can't find any answers.

Try this it's a tutorial for Word on Mac and there is a 'Wordart' section.

I have a mac but rarely use Word, it's a nightmare to be honest. The only thing I can actually use out of office for mac is Outlook.
