Bank charges

Options
I have been charged from £140 to £170 for non payment referral charges by my Business account Bank. Is there any recourse I have to appeal these extorionate fines. My manager just states this is RBS policy so tough! Thankyou in anticipation TWRLREX

No. The banks won the court case and you are reliant on the goodwill of your bank if they wish to refund them. They will typically look at first time mistakes and financial hardship cases. The FOS no longer take on complaints about unfair bank charges.

Also, they are not fines. They are charges for services.

I write the above on the basis of the position and not a personal opinion as to whether I agree with the level of charges or not.
