Just got my £50 cheque today0

Thanks to the Scottish Power Representative and to all those who have tried to help. You have confirmed that there was a link through MSE. It is encouraging to hear that the money will be through about a month after joining. All good news.
Wywth:
If you had read my post (number 3) you would realise that I was pretty certain I had started off in Money Saving Expert, but that I wasn't sure which site I had gone through to next after clicking on the MSE link.
So it could have been any cashback supplier at all-not necessarily direct through to SP.No free lunch, and no free laptop

Northerngezer: Well Done!
Did you click on a link on MoneySavingExpert? and did it take you straight through to Scottish Power?
That's my recollection of what I did.
Also when did you actually start to receive your supplies from Scottish Power? Thanks.0 -
YIPEEE!!!!!!
My £50 cheque arrived today. the letter and cheque appear to have come direct from Scottish Power, however, just by where the cheque is signed it does say Granby Marketing Services Ltd Re Scottish Power.
So I am still not exactly sure what I did or which site(s) I went through to from MSE!
Scottish Power started supplying me on 01/03/13, so it has taken 3 weeks.
Thanks MSE !!0 -
cheque received 22 Mar...Thanks0

Careful with this company, they have increased my monthly by £44 in just one month! Obviously a deal ended but to not even be warned is awful service IMO. On to the next rubbish service provider it is..0

Hello,
I also joined the fixed price Scottish Power energy deal at the end of January. At that time I understood the £50 credit was to be applied 50/50 to the electric/gas charge on the account within 8 wks or so. I have heard nothing, and called Scottish Power to ask. They said that MSE was to pay the money?? Didn't sound right to me. I did follow the link on the MSE website as it was made clear that the deal was only available through that particular link. Any thoughts?
Thanks!0 -

I am the official company representative of Scottish Power. MSE has given permission for me to post in response to queries about the company, so that I can help solve issues. You can see my name on the companies with permission to post list. I am not allowed to tout for business at all. If you believe I am please report it to forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com This does NOT imply any form of approval of my company or its products by MSE"0 -
Changed to SP through Quidco in January. Cash Back paid on time.
Just had a long 'discussion' with SP staff about my DD which increased from £75 to £184. Finally agreed to pay arrears, accept a DD of £135 and review next month.
I asked for the basis of their DD estimate (£2208 total for the year comparec to my estimate of £1200). Electricity was pretty well spot on but gas was double my estimated annual consumption - hence the extortionate DD change.
Do ask for a call back if querying your account (might as well let them pay) and don't accept their first 'offer'. Had to dig in to get some reduction but still paying more than I should,
Incidentally from being a satisfied SP customer previously I am far from happy with them now. If I move supplier today, assuming I can match or better the current deal, would the cash back be reclaimed?0 -
Or just find a free number on SayNoTo0870.com. I refuse to pay money to call a company to sort out a problem when it's almost always their fault.DerbyPensioner wrote: »Do ask for a call back if querying your account (might as well let them pay)0
