Claiming Bank Charges And Credit Card Charges

Hi, Would I Be Able To Claim Credit Card Charges If I Was On a Payment Plan And Had Received Default Notices? I also Have Loans And a 3,000 O/D With The Yorkshire Bank, Would They Close Account Down and Demand Full Pmt?
Would I Also Have To Pay Ten Pounds To Every Creditor For Details Of Charges In The Last 6 Years? Are There Any Template Letters For Claiming Back Credit Card Charges? Any Advice Would Be Appreciated:confused:

Lots of questions in that post. Right, lets see...
Firstly, yes you can claim charges from an acct even if you were on a payment plan, but if you were on the plan, you shoulnd't have got any anyway if they've suspended charges and interest. There may have been some charges from the acct though, from prior to going onto your plan.

Secondly, you can claim charges for loans and from your bank re your overdraft. They may get snotty with you if you still bank with them in which case, it would be worth opening a parachute account just in case they close your acct. As regards asking for full payment, as long as you can prove you can't get ya hands on thousands of pounds, they should accept some sort of reduced monthly payment.

Thirdly, yes you do have to send payment for each credittor, as each company is a seperate business and you are paying to see what each of those businesses hold on you, information wise. If you have more than one account with one company though, you only need to send one payment.

    As for templates,

    second letter: http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/redir/d8af30af

Check out the moneysavingexpert site (ie not the forum part), and on there you'll find all the templates, and also a handy little spreadsheet thingy for working out the interest for you, once you've recd your list of charges.

    Hope this helps. :j
