How do I find out if I am executor to a will?

A number of years ago I agreed to be one of two executors to a will. The person has now died and I am unsure whether I am still executor or whether that has been changed in the ensuing years. For various reasons I do not feel able to discuss this with the other executor at the moment. Is there any other way to find out? The will used to be lodged with a solicitor - would they be in touch if this is still the case?
All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.

Another question. The other executor is not necessarily one who sticks to the letter of the law. If I am executor as well, would it be possible on a practical level for them to cut me out of the process and carry on as if they were sole executor? Just wondering what checks and balances the system has in place. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

have good read of thing relating to probate
Talk to the solicitor that used to hold the will and ask forthem to send a copy if you are still executor.
You might also want to talk to the benifitiaries(if you know them) if you suspect there may be foul play.0
