Although the dog may be the one that suffers in the end he may also end up been taken off him and put in a responsable home, it's just a chance that needs to be taken. I don't believe that dogs that attact other animals are a danger to children or adults but I know I'd jump in if a dog had any of my cats. If a child sees their cat been attacked whats to say they dont jump in and could easily get bitten. I hope you get somewhere with this, don't give in and hopfully someone will be willing to take action against this man.

That's awful!:( It's making me wonder what part of the country this is!

I'm getting my garden cat-proofed in a couple of months as there have been attacks on cats near where I live.

I have 4 cats and I have a dog. My dog loves HER cats but given a chance would chase (and possibly lick to death) any cat she sees while on a walk.

I know that and keep her on a lead where there is a chance of meeting a cat.

The dog does not know any different but to chase those poor cats - with a responsible owner the dog would never get a chance to do any damage to a cat.

It is the owner that needs punishement - poison the dog?
