A level student account?

DS is studying A levels and only has a Woolwich for Kids account, which he's had since he was a few months old lol.

Where would be best to go now? He does plan to go to Uni, but that won't be until September 2008.

Any suggestions appreciated!

Pennie :D

  • A number of banks offer accounts for pre university students, before I went I had a HSBC Right Track into study account - which gives you a debit card and cheque book etc.
  • when i was doing my a levels, i had a Right Track into study (or something like that) account with HSBC, which was basically like a "pre-student" account. I can't think of any major benefits it had though!!

Her Woolwich account will be moving to Barcleys soon and the interest is pathetic. Best to move now.

I just got some current account with Abbey and now i changed to Barclays because Abbey really annoyed me - they wouldnt let me upgrade my visa electron to a visa for some really weird reason. when i went to barclays they were cool and they gave me some student account, but it's not the full one i.e i dont get an overdraft yet
