Wireless Advice/Question

I'm getting a new laptop with wireless and want to get a Netgear router but is it possible to set up the router and still have my PC wired and my laptop wireless? Strange request but just wondering and anyone know where I can get the Netgear wireless router (108) at a decent price? Is it right that some retailers give a free USB card or PC card with the router?

Yes, as long as the PC is within 5 meters of the router (this could be greater but what would be the point!) you can just run a standard ethernet cable to one of the FOUR ports at the back of the router.
Your PC will need an ethernet card if it doesn't already have one.
