Nationwide travel insurance

Hi

Just wondered if anyone knows for definite whether the travel insurance provided to Flexaccount holders covers any delays or cancellations as a result of the snow?

We are going away on 4th Feb all being well, flying out to Gran Canaria. Obviously the weather isn't looking good at the moment. I'm reading all the fine print and on the one had it states an exclusion of 'adverse weather conditions' under Cancellation, but nothing under delay or abandonment.

I know for sure we're covered - joint flexaccount holders, it's our main account and we have the letter from Nationwide to confirm cover. I have used Post Office insurance in the past which came through for us when we missed a flight home after public transport failure, but it is another £45 to purchase the classic cover which I'd rather not do if the free Nationwide travel insurance policy is comprehensive enough for us.

You need to get this confirmed by Nationwide - a post you read on MSE won't hold up in court if it contains duff info!

Of course, I have the number ready! Thought I'd post here in the meantime in case anyone has any experiences of using the insurance
