The question is perfectly clear on all of the Admiral group websites.

Apologies, they must have recently started to include the specific question about SAC as before they did not ask on renewals or at inception.

Guess they've closed that one pretty quick then! Not that I ever had cause to use it.

When they did not specifically ask about SAC at inception or renewal there is no way the Ombudsman would have sided with them.

Now they ask about SAC they have closed the loophole although if someone omits to disclose the SAC after the current Admiral question then Admiral would have to look at the individual situation as per (The full link) thenudeone posted from the Ombudsman eg whether it was "Intentional" etc.

I suspect due to Admiral Group being on their own on asking about SAC and that on the courses the attendees are (Reputed) to be specifically told it does not need to be declared. That the Ombudsman would take this into account when ruling but again it would depend on the individual circumstances.

Certainly where Admiral were not specifically asking about SAC's they would be on very sticky ground and I would expect the Ombudsman to side with the complainer. There's been a post on here recently where the poster stuck his ground as he was not asked and they backed down which is why I suspect their quote system now asks about it and I assume the renewal notices now also do
