Credit Card Insurance

I currently have the above with Barclaycard which is due for renewal - £50 for three years. I have, thankfully never had to use it, but would like to know if these policies give good value for money given that they only give you minimal cover if your card is lost/stolen which is often available through the provider anyway. Am I paying for the benefit of being able to make one call to record the loss of several cards and recover upto £100 to cover the cost of my bag/wallet etc?
Many thanks
