The reason why I believe it's wrong for them to be a trendy breed over here. It's too hot for them most of the year, except for a couple of weeks if we get exceptionally harsh weather.
They belong in colder climates.I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll

Siberia has very cold winters and moderately hot summers. Summer temps often reach 25 degrees or so and as far as I'm aware that's warmer than what we get here most of the time. Our house is usually around 13 degrees and the dogs don't suffer. Their fur is for retaining heat and for keeping it out.
That's like saying no dog should be away from it's origins. Most dogs shouldn't be kept as pets but should be working if that's what was originally intended.
What a strange comment to make!0 -

The temperature at night in Siberia is still colder. The figures online are for the main cities, not the areas where the Chuki bred the dogs by the Bering Straits.
And yes, I don't think dogs designed for hot climates should not be forced to live shivering in cold ones, either, rather than imported and bred for our vanity.I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll

:T:T:T....................they look like they are loving it !
which is more than i can say for my car.Yep...still at it, working out how to retire early.:D....... Going to have to rethink that scenario as have been screwed over by the company. A work in progress.0 -
What lovely photos.
My girl Koda loves the snow too!
Oh, and she doesn't suffer when it's warm....huskies actually blow their coat in the springtime, just as many other animals do, so they don't have as thick fur during the warmer months.
There's always one......;)0
