Hi i have films on my pc that i can put on to my phone no problem but with i try and put them on to dvd so i can watch on TV the dvd player says Disc empty.
What am i doing wrong?
The films are from "filmous.com"
Every thing plays fine on the pc too.

make sure your DVD player can take copied DVDs (DVD+/-)0

Assuming you mean you have pirated AVI downloads of files, Microsoft offers a very good service. I think, although memory may serve me incorrectly, you right click on the disk drive within my computer and select something like "burn to disk" - then you can select the AVI file from wherever it is saved on your computer and burn it to that disk. I find this takes an AWFULLY long time though (expect 3-4 hours on a decent i3 laptop with 3-4gb RAM). I'm sure there are better ways in which people will reply with.
You could also consider getting a media player (search amazon for media player) and it will read a USB memory stick/sd card etc and play movies from that. Which is MUCH easier than burning a movie to disc everytime you want to watch something.0 -

They are NOT pirated.
I have done the burn to disc Bit to no Joy
I have tried the windows dvd maker and got this message;
The file c: \ user\ familes \ videos \ cleanskin.mp4 is not a supported file type and it cannot be imported.
This film is one of many a friend gave me, the other films i have donwloaded and have hqdvix after them and i think they will work.Spending my time reading how to fix PC's,instead of looking at Facebook.0 -

I sync the film to a usb using wmp but when i plug the usb into the dvd player it reads empty.Spending my time reading how to fix PC's,instead of looking at Facebook.0
