'Now for anyone looking in, please feel free to join - the more the merrier! Basically, decide on the amount you want to spend up to from Sunday until the end of the working day on Friday then pledge it here and off we go! The challenge is about incidental spending and not for stuff that should be budgeted elsewhere such as bills, groceries, debt repayment etc but you decide what to include at the end - this is about changing your habits and improving your recording of your spends more than anythng else.

The reason the challenge is up to Friday is that I like to give myself a day off the counting and let my hair down a bit'

moozie if your spying we miss you terribly, your much better at guiding the troups than I am.....told you before I'm the bad influence! :rotfl: but I'll keep your challenge rolling along until you get back. big big big hugs to you from all of us xxxx

now lets see some totals from you guys n gals and I want plenty of green or I'll get angry....and you won't like me when I'm angry ;)

Morning LJ and all to follow :hello:

I made my budget for the second week in a row, £1.50 under at £10.50 :money:
This week my target is going to be £65 to include post-exam celebrations on Tuesday , hair-cut, a present for my friends new puppy who we're going to see later this afternoon and a new house gift for another friend.

Spends today so far: £0.46 on a peanut kit-kat chunky! :D

Will be spending later on puppy toys so I'll update with my total tonight.

Edit: today's other planned spends bought by OH so I stay at 0.46 today.

Enjoy the rest of the weekend everybody!

I want to join. I hope to spend less than £20.00 this week.

For me this is for me to spend on myself on whatever I want.

    Good luck everyone.

I completely obliterated my target, in the wrong direction :o

The week began full of good intentions but rapidly deteriorated. My spends are as follows.

Bacon sandwich and latte - £1.65
Smart Card (Boots scales) top-up £2
    Netball subs - £3
Tissues, milk and bread roll £1.99
Pain au chocolat and Percy Pigs - £1.40
    Pint of Fosters £2.60 (!)
    Chip Butty £1.20
    Bus fare £2.80
    Chinese takeout - £9.30
    Tissues - £0.45
    Sympathy card £1.85
Pamper items for hugely pregnant, bored lil’ sister - £16.61
    Pizza - £5
    Lunch with friend - £19
Adds up to a whopping £68.85 !!! Please mark me in red Lynsayjane

On the plus side, this was all actual cash and no credit, plus my ticket to NZ/OZ quite a bit less than the £1,070 I'd budgeted for, coming in at - £849.40. Paid with actual funds, not credit.

I'm going to allow myself £30 this week as I've got a flower festival to attend at the weekend.

My budget for last week was £20 and I managed to spend £18.50! Would have been a fiver less if I hadn't caved in and succumbed to a bottle of wine!
I can be green this week :j

I'll be going for £20 again and hoping for the best.

I was going to try for an NS week, but then remembered that its my turn to pay the pocket money tomorrow, so I'm going for £20.00.

And I am going to keep a record. As I won't be spending anything, bar the pocket money it should be easy

Hi there. Today I have spent £50.62 on main grocery shop but this included three quite big non food items (one of which was me paying BF back £10 I owed for petrol) so it could have been worse. Hopefully next week will be much lower and the following few weeks.

I had a nsd yesterday and haven't spent on anything else since Sainsburys.

Not joining in the challenge this week....just had the washing machine die today. That will steamroller any budget I would have set. :rotfl:
Bank Balance: In the black for the moment.
