Help with restoring PC to factory settings or completely cleaning it out.

Now I have my laptop the kids will use the pc, their only little so will only use it for internet games.
I wanted to restore it to the factory settings or just clear it of most things but the basics?
How do I do this?? On my system restore thingy it will only let me restore it to a week ago ?????
Help as I have no idea what im doing,. I just used a free registry scan and it found over 1000 problems , but it wouldnt let me delete it unless i paid is their a free one somewhere please help as i dont know what im doing?

To restore to factory settings you will need ALL the original CDs that came with the PC (including additional software).
If you do this you may loose all files, passwords, pictures etc stored on the system.
Depending on where you bought the PC and how the original software was installed will depend on how you would proceed with restoring the original settings.0 -

this will fix those registry issues for free (fully working 30 day trial) just run "1-Click" maintenance a few times

but run this first to remove all the cookies, history etc, tick ALL the boxes to remove everything

while it's installing you need to watch whats happening and untick the box to install Yahoo Toolbar
don't see the point of re-installing everything as this remove all traces of everything you have done , just unistall any programs you don't want them playingEx forum ambassador
