Hi All,
Ive just switched BB provider from Sky to Tesco and im looking t o see if i can monitor the service by simply sending a ping to the Beeb website and log it to see if it times out.
id like to try and set up something that will test every fewmi nutes.
ive found a bit of code that ive saved as a bat file that will run at startup as a scheduled task, but its only run once rather that every 5/10 mins
heres what i got so far
DATE /T >> C:\LogFile.txt
TIME /T >> C:\LogFile.txt
PING www.bbc.co.uk >> C:\LogFile.txt
can anyone help me set it up to run every 5 mins at least whist the laptop is on, which is pretty much all the time. Im running Win7
thanks
MM

You should be able to set that up as part of the scheduled task.
Why would you want to do that is another question though.:wall: Flagellation, necrophilia and bestiality - Am I flogging a dead horse? :wall:

i simply want to see the connection dropout rate of tesco.
if im constantly finding myself without internet, then ill have a record of the donwtimes.0 -
Fair enough.
Check the options in the scheduled task and see if it has a repeat option.:wall: Flagellation, necrophilia and bestiality - Am I flogging a dead horse? :wall:

ping graph within this page
http://vwlowen.co.uk/moreinternet/files.htm#pinggraph
or the full routerstats program with ping tab activated
that is if your router works with R.Stats - and it takes a bit of setting up even if it does: - it's not plug and play.

unless you are having problems don't see the point, but

if you add -t after www.bbc.co.uk it'll run a constant ping, updating the log file.0
