Question about Tax and credit card payments

I run a small business, very part-time so my turn over is very small. I have spent quite a bit on capital expenses over the past year on equipment for the job. Most of it has been on 0% credit cards (aren't they great!). So each month i pay the minimum payment from my business account.
My question is .. what to i put in my accounts, the monthly minimum payment or the original full payment for the item? I can't do both obviously. If I put the first lump sum then my bank accounts won't tally. But if i do the monthly payments can i still claim it as a capital expense ( especially if it goes over the two financial years).
Any advice gratefully received!
Thanks
Jenny

Full cost goes in when you buy them - you "owe" for them, so the monthly payments are merely debt repayments with no impact on your profit or loss.

Think of your credit card statement in the same way as you would think of your bank account statement

It's like being overdrawn at the bank.

Thanks to you both - as with so many of these things it's not difficult to understand if you know the basic principle behind it! Now it is all clear!
    Thanks again.
