I have with my partner applied and received credit cards from the post office , but to my dismay only 1000 GBP was issued for the credit limit ( 500 apiece ).
I checked with the PO and they said that it was due to the info received with my application . I earn apx 50k and my partner and I have an excellent credit ratings apart from I am not on the electorial roll ( I work overseas ).
Does this credit allowance go up automatically and is this the normal credit usually given out for new customers .
Can anybody help please ?

You can normally ask for an increase every 6 months or so. Even if you work overseas you could still be on the electoral roll as that may be the reason behind the low limit as its one of the things the agencies use for credit checks.
