Throttloe Butterfly?
Just Picked up my car from the garage after being sent in to resolve starting problems (the car is a diesel) the mechanic said the throttle butterfly was sticking and had been replaced - could anyone enlighten me what one of these is and what it does?
Many thanks, Neil

you shouldve asked the garage to see the old one and explain whats up..genuine places are happy to show you the worn part
basicly its a flap ...when you put your foot on the accelerator the flap opens to allow more air in the engine0 -

Especially as it's a diesel, which wouldn't normally have a throttle butterfly - diesels are throttled by fuel, not air.0
