Could a leak in the system be driving up my gas bill?

I have a weird boiler which loses pressure and then sometimes randomly gains it based on whether I have turned on a radiator valve etc. I recently got a gas bill for £300 just for a quarter. Could this have sent the price up?

No. The cost will be based on the amount of gas you have consumed and the recent price increases

Sounds like you have a leaking rad then (if the pressure drops when you open a rad valve). Nothing to do with your combi.
