HI all
I am on virginmedia, and as my PC is upstairs all my electrics are using wireless (netbook, TV, PS3, Phones), however I brought a bluray player at christmas that need a dongle thats £45 and the no name alternative will not work
Would i be better off getting 200mbps homeplug set up and then putting that into my new player so i can take advantage of all the wonderful oppurtunities it supposedly gives me?
Would this then give me a faster signal than the wifi?
many thanks for any advice

Yes - I'm doing exactly that, wired will always better than wireless0

have the 60mb superhub enroute so will hold off a few weeks then get it sorted
how much did you pay? i see a 2 set on Amazon for £25 to £350 -
If you want to stream HD video around the network then it might be worth going for the 500MBps Homeplugs, rather than 200MBps.No free lunch, and no free laptop0

Do the newer ones work OK on a 4-way extension leads? I have some that are a few years old and really don't like being plugged into a 4-way. I believe HomePlug did their own 4 way with built-in ethernet ports to compensate for a while0
