Confused with Paypal or Cheque Payment!

Hi,
Fairly new to selling and I have indicated that I prefer Paypal for payment. A buyer has asked that they pay by cheque and as she is a newbie she doesn't seem to be able to cope with Paypal (she seems to be a student and only able to get public access computers). It's for a small amount so I said ok.
She now says there is no option on my sale to pay by cheque - only Paypal. How does she pay by cheque then and let it show that my sale has checked out and completed.
An easy way that i see it is for her to send me a cheque and I relist the item. (I have more than 1).
Or can I just manually select checkedout to indicate the sale has completed?
These sound really newbie questions! Ah well
Cheers

You don't have to complete anything on the 'my selling' ebay page if you don't want to. However, if you prefer to show the current status for your own records then you can change the status to 'sold' just by clicking on the drop down box on the side of the completed listing.
That drop down box gives you the option to mark an item 'sent' and also 'paid for', however only you get to see that, your buyer doesn't.
As for how to pay, just give her your address and let her send a cheque, ebay don't monitor items paid for or sent.
