Charges of £30 :(

On 10th Jan I accidentally went over drawn when my my magazine subscription was debited from my bank, but what made it worse was a special edition magazine subscription was also debited. The total of these 2 debits £18.97 which left me £15.15 over my agreed overdraft
, I only noticed this on 11th Jan, but immediately brought my account back into the agreed overdraft limit.
Now when Ive checked my account I am being hit with charges
£20.00 (my usual overdraft fee)
£5.00 unarranged overdraft fee
£25.00 paid item fee
Is there anything I can do? I dont mind paying the £20.00 (I budget for this) however an extra £30.00 for £15.15 will have an impact on next months finances, and in reality its for £3.15 as they allow a buffer of £12.00 over overdraft limit
My income is £180 per month

Hi,
if you have a good record, and this is your first default, get in touch with provider and explain.
These charges are computer generated, so if you get to talk to a real person it could help.
Good luck.0 -
I agree, You sound like you keep careful watch most of the time and if it's a first offence I would expect for them to wipe the charges as a gesture of "goodwill". Nothing to lose by asking?0

thankyou both for the replies, its not my first offence, but its not a regular occurance, think its well over 12 months since the last time it happened.0

If you really do only get £45 a week income, ask yourself whether spending almost £20 on magazines is affordable.

Its not £20 its £10, the extra this month was for a special issue. It is budgeted for, as its really my only outgoing, as my other half and I use our joint incomes for everything else.0 -
Rang them yesterday and they cancelled the charges as a gesture of goodwill, as this isnt the way I usually run my account,0
