  • Suggest you contact your suppliers energy efficiency team to see if you can make savings

There is a free booklet on their website full of handy information about tips you can use to help save you money. Also check with one of the comparison sites (enter usage not money) and it will advise if there are better deals /cheaper tarriffs out there for you based on your consumption.

    I'm with scottish hydro electric.

Cooker is electric. Central heating is gas and hot water is gas (I have an "instant" hot water boiler"). The boiler and radiators are only about 3 years old the council replace them for you every 15 years.

Heating is on all the time in winter months but it's on a thermostat which is turned down at night.

edit: The thermostat is usually at 18C during the evening at 15C at night/daytime.

Units of what though? Is your meter metric or imperial? What we need are the kWh totals, which are what you are actually biled on. meter units are just volume, either cu m or 100's cu ft, depending on the meter.
A DD of £125pm (if no debt) indicates an annual usage of around 37,500Kwh. That's twice the national average, and massive for a 1 b/r flat.

If you read the first post you will see that it is £125 for 3 months use.

    OK,< I read that as £125 per month, i.e. a monthly DD of £125.
