How long should I wait before re-applying for a credit card after rejection?

I've just come to the end of a 26(?) month 0% deal, and been rejected for another one on a different card. I think this is because I have two other cards that are pretty much maxed out (one at 6K, one at 7K), and have been for the past year or so, despite my best efforts to pay them off. So now, my interest payments increase even further, as i wasn't able to pay off the 0% card at the end of the deal.
Luckily, we will soon have a bigger double income, and can hopefully start to pay some of this cr*p off. It's like a deadweight
