Well as usual hubby's travel plans wrecked by the weather. His flight was cancelled

I've managed to get him on a flight this evening so fingers crossed

Where is he travelling from?

Is it that the snow is really bad, or the airports are just ill prepared?

he was due out of Heathrow, but domestic flights were cancelled last night.

I got him on the 2pm from Gatwick, and its just taken off

Apparently not enough de-icers there, so they couldnt get the luggage from the incoming flight off, then whilst waiting the rest of the plane refroze so had a further wait for the de icer to reappear

Just gonna head on down now to get him.

He got the boat from Dublin on Friday, over there 2wks or so

Well I'm sat here at the airport so fingers crossed any minute now

My grandson(2) was out playing in the snow last night and having an absolute ball until parents decided it was time to go in. He was far from a happy chappy. Soon after his other Granny called to kidnap him for the night. Got to her house and her boys took GS out to play in the snow again, boy did he have a ball!

Anyone been out on the roads around South Belfast in the last hour? We have two inches of snow in the street and no sign of it abating.

Trying to gauge my chances of driving to work tomorrow morning. I dread the thought of getting up early with a shovel!

At last, we have snow
