Well it buckeked rain here all nite, if that had been rain, we would be digging ourselves out this morn!

But it was all rain, at 8am there wasn't a sign of snow, but come 11am it was starting to come down hard and lie, now there's close on 2inches, could easy make a snowman or have a snowball fight!

Just back from doagh and stopped at ballymena for shopping and its pretty bad that way with very poor visibility and snow beginning to cover the fields and settling on the roads

Soon as I got to the ballycastle line it's pretty clear. Nothing settling and not a real lot falling
  • has anybody else in belfast experienced a few "blips" with their electricity in the last hour. everybody must be getting home and switching on the central heating.
  • FYI-
Translink have suspended all journeys from Belfast City Centre within the last hour due to the snow

Still pelting it down here, really fine rain or snow, its hard to tell just looking out, don't wanna venture out! Very windy too
  • I am snowed in. I really hate the snow. I need milk for my tea and I am too far away from a store to get some. :(

Also had some thunder and lightening earlier which was quite scary. Cannot remember last time there was thunder, lightening, snow and windy at the same time lol

It was quite an anti climax here on the shores of lough neagh, BBC radio Ulster gave out yesterday morning that the army was actually on stand by as they were expecting the worst snow in years this weekend.

It rained all day yesterday up until about 6pm, this turned to to snow but nothing lay and 2i8j23b.jpg was the scene in my back garden this morning, not even a slight frost let alone snow.

Same here. Some snow lying but I've seen deeper frosts

    Dark sky though. Very black.

Fingers crossed hubby will be home as planned tomorrow
