child tax credits vs vouchers

I'm sure this is a really common question, but how do you work out if you are better off with child tax credits or childcare vouchers? I've ust gone back to work after maternity leave and the childcare is crippling.

Are you able to claim childcare costs from tax credits? there is a calculator on hmrc website that compares them and tell you which you are better off taking.Debt Free September 2018 :j0
