Been made an offer reclaiming Bank Charges Any Advice Welcomed : )

Hi after joining the money saving forum been bitten by the bug and decided to try getting my bank charges back which over the last 6 year period are between £1000 and £2000 i have been offered half of my 'Reserve Usage fees' back which are £616 I was hoping for a slighty higher offer. A manager has been looking at my claim and I have Not yet been sent the Official letter of Offer yet so has anyone got any advice on how I can try get a slightly Higher Offer? Also if I try to get more just over the phone what position does that leave me in with the original offer? I am claiming under 'Hardship' category. Any advice suggestions greatly appreciated : ) <3:beer:
