Will it be used for photo printing and what quality scans are needed?

    Will compatible inks be used?
  • I have a canon printer scanner copier but it's not wireless and the ink cartridges are expensive.
  • Not used for photos, scans just for home use, no professional quality needed.
I heard the cartridges were dearer but thought they printed more pages though?
    Thanks

Argos have some around £40 at the moment, any will do what you have listed.

Check if compatible inks are available for the printer you are likely to get, compatibles will be fine for the uses in post 4

Yesterday I would have highly recommended a Pixma MG4150 but we had a power cut and now the bl00dy thing just starts up with an error message. We have done everything it says in the manual but it's making no effort to cooperate.

My only recommendation now is to buy a Kodak.

Thanks, how to you get your cartridges with vouchers?

Be aware that if your not printing something every day, you may find the ink dries up before you have time to use it fully. This is before you would have finished them, so printing more pages per catridge only matters so far.
  • I've got the MG4150 and it's the easiest printer I've ever had - extremely simple and fast to set up, it works fine and it's speedy at printing.

I bought it in Staples last year.

The cartridges are expensive but you can buy the ink to re-fill the cartridges cheaper (the people in the tech forum know all abut this, best to ask them).
