Not sure if this is in the right forum but here goes!
Currently have sky+ with multiroom, the second sub was being used by our lodger who bought the 2nd sky+ box. He moved out today, taking the box with him to his new place.
We now have the option to change our sky package and I don't know what to go for. If we cancel the multi-room, will the sky feeds to the multiroom still supply a basic signal on our old sky (not plus) box?
If not, we may go for freeview instead.
Also planning to decrease our package from the full monty to 2 mix package plus sports - am I right in thinking that sky+ would still be free with the premium sports pack, and that multiroom would be another £10 anyway?
If anyone has any other suggestions, please let me know!
Edit:
If we decided to go mad and keep multiroom, can we get a new sky+ box from anywhere else and does it come with a card, or does Sky supply the subscriber cards?

I would imagine that sky transmits one signal from its satellite and that what you can receive depends on your equipment and contract.
You can get hardware from elsewhere - check out the specialist satellite tv magazines.

There will still be a signal to the other room. You could use an old box and get Freesat. A viewing card is £20 from Sky.
As long as you have the Sports, you will retain full fuctionality on your Sky+.
Multiroom is £10 whatever other package you may be on.
If you retain multiroom, as mentioned above, you can get the box from wherever you want. I presume Sky will send you out the veiwing card.Dave. :wave:0
