How Do I Protect My Will From Destruction?

Hi All,
I'm thinking of writing a will and want to know how I can ensure that it is still accessible when I die. For example, if I wrote my will out got it witnessed, etc it is still useless unless it can be produced after my death - if I died in a fire and it was destroyed at the same time (or just lost), it's useless.
Can I get the document put in a safe place where it will be found when I die? Who offers such a service and what mechanisms exist that make sure that the will is produced when I die? Can I create multiple copies so as to avoid loss of the will?
Any help on this would be appreciated.
Mr O

You can make multiple copies of the same document and/or you could store a copy or the original with your solicitor (who will charge).:footie:
Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S)
Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money.

Thanks.
How will the solicitor know to produce the will when I die?0 -
Purchase a small fire proof safe for the original and other important documents and let it be known that your will is in the safe.0
