A pleasent surprise

Scottishpower (already cheaper than British Gas) have REDUCED my DDM in the middle of winter when we have all our NSR on and two convectors on too

and theyve frozen the tariff till june 2014

leaving BG was hard, they dont like to let go, my DDM is now 75% of what BG wanted

readings are not estimates either

Glad you are pleased, you must have had a high DD to start with though, yes Sp have some good rates, I do notice everytime I eneter a meter reading, they wish to increase the DD, they have agreed to keep it the same now and after the March bill I will pay the shortcoming. Aound here Npower worked out slightly cheaper, but they cheesed me off hence moved both energies to SP.
  • NSR's eat leccy, hence the E7 tariff but we are in all day too so day time rates at 11p rather than 15p swung it, BGas wanted us to build up a big balance credit through summer whereas we have just used less than the SP want in a DDM

Don't know what an NSR is, but 11p/unit rate is good, think my average is about 13.3p/unit
  • NSR = Night Storage Radiator (or NSH) horrible things

Theres no mains gas and we cant install a gas or oil tank so we are stuck with leccy
  • first 71 KWH/month at 19.44p/unit

then day rate 9.77p/unit day time

    and night rate 5.111p/unit

Ah, that's good, cos I just checked my bill 19.44p/unit for the 1st 194kwh then 9.77p/unit online fixed july 2013

way better than Bgas's best offer though!

and Scotpower dont want me to to "save" with them either, I once had to fight for a £250 refund on summer payments made to Bgas (built up credit balamce)
